RED RIBBON CLUB

The Red Ribbon Club aims at harnessing the potential of the youth by equipping them with correct information on HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, Support and Treatment. The first Red Ribbon Club unit was started in the college campus in the year, 1990. The main objective of RRC is to increase youths access to health care services related to STI/HIV/AIDS/drug use/ sexuality and other related issues (thus eliminate myths and misconceptions) in public health and social issues which are crucial for the well-being of society. At present, RRC Unit with 60 volunteers are deeply involved in serving the community by educating the youth with correct, concise and adequate information to heighten their level of awareness in the same.

RRC is well known for its community services through extension activities such as organizing personality development programs, national integration camps, blood donation camps, medical camps, rallies and awareness programs on AIDS control and organ donation. RRC paves way to connect the youth with governmental and non – governmental agencies.
