Incandescent Induction Event at SNMV CAS!
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science conducted the Induction ceremony, ‘Swajith 2024’ to welcome the first year UG students on 19th July 2024. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal-SNMV CAS welcomed the gathering. He highlighted the facilities and amenities provided by the college, like NSS, NCC, 100% Scholarship given for outstanding students along with free hostel facilities and exclusion of uniform fee, sports Scholarship, IAS Academy, Placement training program, IIC and also club events. Shri Mahaveer Bothra, President, CWA & SNMV, presided over the function. He encouraged all the young minds to dedicate oneself completely to the journey of success and also inspired them to make good friends besides education
The Chief Guest, Dr.J.S.Bhuvaneshwaran, Director, PSG Super Specialty Hospitals, Coimbatore shared the importance of education and health & its impact on student’s life. He quoted ‘Rise Up, Start Fresh, See the Bright Opportunity in Each New Day’ in a significant manner, also emphasized the students, “To have a desire to work on and reach your goals by dharma in your life”. He claimed that every single person in the earth have to be shield on your mental & physical health. He also said that it is a privilege for any student to study in a reputed institution with resourceful teachers and hence congratulated all the first-year students of SNMV for being blissfully fortunate in that aspect as a continuation of this program because no other possession compares to that of One’s Education.
Shri Kamalesh C Bafna, Vice President, SNMV, felicitated the gathering and also pointed out that the college will provide all the opportunities according to the students’ interest and passion and also stressed the significance of Goal setting and planning in the process of working for success which was an energizing strike for all the new comers. This was followed by the pledge taken by the students under the lead of Dr.R.Bhakyaraj, HOD- Department of Microbiology. Dr. K. Muthukumar, Director – SNMV IM proposed the Vote of thanks. Around 1200 students and their parents attended the program. The event was coordinated by Mr. S. Jothiramalingam, Associate Professor & Head Corporate Relation.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science celebrated 75th Republic Day on 26th January 2024. The National Flag was hoisted by the renowned Chief Guest, Mr. M.K.G. Anandakumar, Alumni of SNMV CAS, Managing Director, Udhayam Groups, Pollachi. This was followed by a spectacular parade by the NCC students. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal of the College delivered the welcome address, Shri Mahaveer Bothra, President- SNMV CAS has given the presidential address by honoring our nation. Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary- SNMV CAS, Shri Ratanchand Bothra, Joint Secretary- SNV/CWA has felicitated the event. Chief Guest, Mr. M.K.G. Anandakumar illustrated the patriotic speech on Republic Day under the theme of “India’s growth and hard work” and he specified his statement to students that how education is prominent to everyone, because it was the way to show your innovative skills and talents in every fields. Even after India won its independence, the struggle continued the country did not have any self-made constitution to rely on. By, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the Constitution was adopted on January 26, 1950 and ever since this day is celebrated as Republic Day and pointing out the predominant things, we Indians have to follow for the betterment of the nation. Shri Nishant Jain, Secretary- SNV/CWA graced the occasion with his presence. The winners of the various competitions such as department rangoli, oratorical, essay writing, music and group dance were honored with prizes and certificates by the dignitaries. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.K.Muthukumar, Director, SNMV IM.
PatrioRtic Fervour at its Best
In commemoration of the 78th Independence Day, there was an upsurge of patriotism at SNMV CAS, at the unfurling of the 78th Independence Day on 15th August, 2024. As a mark of nationalism, the day began with the hoisting of the national flag by the Chief Guest, Group Captain, A. R. Muralidharan, Air Force Administrative College, Coimbatore, accompanied by the Members of the Management.
A spectacular parade followed thereafter by the vibrant NCC Cadets of the college. Amidst the flooding waves of patriotism, Dr. B. Subramani, Principal, SNMV CAS, welcomed the gathering. Shri. B. Mahaveer Bothra, President, SNMV CAS, delivered the Presidential Address. He reiterated the importance of nation building and lauded the sacrifice of every freedom fighter with gratitude. Shri. Bharathkumar Jaghamani, Joint Secretary, SNMV CAS, felicitated the gathering and stated that everyone should work together to build a community in order to be dutiful to our nation and society.
The Chief Guest, Group Captain, A. R. Muralidharan, Air Force Administrative College, Coimbatore, wished everyone a ‘Happy Independence Day’. He reminisced the importance of independence which was long yearned and fought for. He stressed on the importance of individual responsibility. He advised the younger generation that education must energize them to explore and conquer the world. He added that education must empower the young minds with the freedom of speech, thought and expression. He further emphasized that we are gifted to be born in this great country and must work diligently to build our country into a great nation.
Shri. Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary, SNMV CAS, Shri. Nishanth Jain, Secretary, SNV & CWA, and Shri. Rathanchand Bothra, Joint Secretary, SNV, graced the occasion with their esteemed presence. The cultural programmes that followed, rekindled the spirit of freedom among the audience.

To commemorate 152nd Birth Anniversary of the Father of our Nation, Mahatama Gandhi India’s third National festival, Gandhi Jayanti, was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. The Principal, Dr.B.Subramani, welcomed the gathering and motivated the students to remember ‘Bapu’ and his teachings. He also indicated that Gandhiji led India to Independence by holding onto Non Violence and Truth and stressed that Gandhiji’s principles are very much needed for the present generation to lead a peaceful life. With the intention of preserving the Nation’s Arts and Musical Traditions, Bhajans were sung by the students of Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science. There were also Competitions like Video Contest and Facial Painting conducted in online mode as a part of the celebrations. Staffs and Students showed active participation for the celebration.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, organized its Mega Intercollegiate Meet, ‘Regalia-2024’ on 07th March, 2024. Above 1000 students from 54 colleges from all over Tamil Nadu enthusiastically participated and exposed their talents in various events like Reels, Nail Art, Short film, Facial Painting, Wealth out of Waste, Groom / Bride Makeover, Solo Dance, Dual Dance, Adapt Tune, Group Dance, Solo Singing, and Fashion Pageant. The celebration was further magnified by the presence of Shri Mahaveer Bothra, President-CWA &SNMV presided over the function. Where he highlighted that the student’s potential will always lead to become a successful life.
Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary SNMV, felicitated the gathering and he motivated the students to best in academic with the motivational lines, “Keep your face always toward the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you”. Dr. B. Subramani Principal, SNMV CAS, felicitated the gathering with his quote that “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out.” This is a day of celebration which helps those who seeks for the opportunity to show your talents. The Chief Guest Mr.Sreekanth Hariharan, Indian Playback Singer, entertained with the student gatherings and made the stage more mesmerized with his melodious and astonishing Voice.
The special invitees Shri Bharathkumar Jaghamani, Joint Secretary- SNMV and Shri Nishant Jain, Secretary – CWA&SNV, Shri Ratanchand Bothra, Joint Secretary – CWA&SNV adorned the occasion with their presence. The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. K. Muthukumar, Director, SNMV Institute of Management. Dr.V.Padmanaban, Dean- Commerce, proposed the Vote of Thanks. JSS Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Coimbatore won the overall trophy and cash prize.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science celebrated the astonishing College Day, ‘Quake Arena 2024’ on 08th March, 2024, in the New Auditorium. Shri. Mahaveer Bothra, President-CWA &SNMV, presided over the function and delivered the presidential address. He motivated the students to explore new things in life. He stated that Celebration of students brings happiness and satisfaction. Shri. Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary SNMV, felicitated the gathering. He congratulate the students for their efforts in studies and culturals. Shri Bharathkumar Jaghamani, Joint Secretary, SNMV CAS, felicitated the gathering with his quote ‘ talent does you no good unless it’s recognized by someone else’, so you should know your worth where to showcase your talents to become a good and successful person.
The Chief Guest of the day was Ms.Pooja Venkatraman, Playback Singer, Super Singer Season 9 on Vijay TV. She was also entertained the student gatherings and made the stage more stunning performances with her vibrant voice. It followed by the College Annual Report 2024 presented by Dr. B. Subramani, the Principal, SNMV CAS. The dignitaries confided the gathering with the College Magazine, ‘LAHAR-2024’. Dr. K. Muthukumar, Director, SNMV Institute of Management, welcomed the gathering. Vote of thanks was delivered by Mr.Jothiramalingam, Assistant Professor, MBA.
Around 3500 students participated and showed their talents in various events like Reels, Short film, Wealth from Waste, Groom / Bride Makeover, Solo Dance, Adapt Tune, Group Dance, Dual dance, Solo Singing, and Cooking without fire. The gleeful gathering was concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of the various competitions.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science conducted its 31 st Graduation Day on 29 th December 2023. The Chief Guest, Dr.Anbukkani Subbian, Consultant Gyn Oncologist& Robotic Surgeon, Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Kovai Medical Centre & Hospital, Coimbatore, gave her splendid Graduation Day Address, congratulating all the fresh graduates for reaching a remarkable milestone in their academic journey. Always Students should be faithful and thankful to their parents for their sacrifices. With this she states that “Each day is filled with thousands of opportunities to change the story of our lives. There are two things in your life, which you must carry as an important, one is family and other one is work so be an individual person and utilize your opportunities to make it as a real success person in the society”. She is highly congratulated the college for providing a free education seats under the ISR scheme, for this year 34 seats were provided by the college. Dr. B. Subramani – Principal, Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya headed the Academic Procession followed by all Heads of the Department. He presented a report on the outstanding features and attainments of the college. All the dignitaries made a markable appreciation note during the occasion as means of honoring the graduates. For a total of 974 graduates, were awarded with for their distinctive performance in examinations. 37 Rank Holders were exclusively called out and honored for their achievements. The occasion ended with a formal dissolution.

The Chief Guest, Mr.Mohammed, Sub-inspector of Police, Chettipalayam, Coimbatore hoisted the national flag and lighted Olympic torch. Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary, SNMV CAS, was declared Annual Sports Meet. An event was followed by Oath taking with a spectacular marching by the students of SNMV. Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary, SNMVCAS, delivered the Presidential address and appreciating the efforts taken by the students. Shri. Bharat Kumar Jagamani, Joint Secretary, SNMV CAS, he highlighted that the students of SNMV would be a member of sports in Tamil Nadu. Dr.B.Subramani, Principal, SNMV CAS, felicitated the event with his astonishing quote “A Champions is afraid of Losing, everyone else is afraid of Winning”. The Chief Guest stressed on the essence of sportsmanship spirit among today’s youth in order to reach heights amidst failures and defeats. Shri Ratanchand Bothra, Joint Secretary –CWA&SNV adorned the occasion with his presence. Dr.K.Muthukumar, Director, SNMV IM, delivered the welcome address. Mr. G. Sadeesh Kumar, Physical Director-SNMV CAS presented the Annual Report- 2024 in connection with all the activities of Physical Education Department of the College. The winners of the various Competitions such as table tennis, running race and chess were honored with prizes and certificates by the dignitaries. The event came out to be a grand success by the active participation extended by the students of the College. The Overall rolling trophy was bagged by the Blue House. The Annual Sports day came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr.V.Padmanabhan, Dean, Commerce, SNMV CAS.
Indelible Traditional Moments on Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya Campus!
Samacheer Pongal was celebrated at Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science on 12th January, 2024. The festivities commenced at 9:00 a.m. in the Multipurpose Auditorium with a captivating and vibrant array of colors displayed in the form of Rangoli. The celebration was steered with the motive of preserving the rich cultural tradition of India and to instigate the feeling of oneness and unity in the young minds. The exclusivity of the event was marked by the ‘Vallikummi’ as the girls danced gracefully for the Kummiadi song. The rich Indian cultural heritage was reflected by the stacking of sugarcane and the preparation of Pongal in decorated earthen pots. The chanting of Pongalo! Pongal! invigorated the spirit of celebration. The festive spirit in students was further evoked through cultural programmes like Dance, Rekla, Kummiyattam, Silambattam, Uriyadithal, kabaddi, Parai Isai, and Kayiru Iluthal which were the highlights of the day. Various props reflecting the Indian rural culture in relation to the Pongal festival were proudly showcased by the students in their respective huts.

Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary- SNMV CAS, has felicitated the event. Chief Guest, Dr.Anbukkani Subbian, Consultant GYN Oncologist& Robotic Surgeon, Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Kovai Medical Centre & Hospital, Coimbatore, illustrated the theme of “The Women Empowerment”. In her speech she stressed the need for self-realization of women to survive and excel in all the endeavors. Mrs.M.Kalpana, Former Chairperson, Manoshanthi Family Counselling Centre, Coimbatore, gave her speech on the importance of women education, how it has played as vital role in our lives. The winners of the various competitions such as Lit Parade, Solo dance, Dual Dance, and group dance were honored with prizes and certificates by the dignitaries. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.M.Premalatha, Head- Convenor of Women Empowerment Cell. Around 800 girl students and all the female faculty members attended the programme.
