Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science conducted the Induction ceremony, ‘Swajith 2023’ to welcome the first year UG students on 7 th July 2023, at 10.00 a.m. in the college premises. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal-SNMV CAS welcomed the dignitaries, staff members, parents and students. He spoke about three major aspects of the college Pursing higher Education, Placement and Entrepreneurship and then he further highlighted the facilities of the college. He concluded with a quote “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself”.MahaveerBothra, President, CWA, SNMV CAS, presided over the function and delivered the Presidential Address. He motivated all the young minds to dedicate oneself completely to the journey of success. Shri SunilkumarNahata, Secretary, SNMV CAS, felicitated the gathering and he directed students to utilise the source which is provided by the teachers to enrich their Knowledge. Shri. Bharathkumar Jaghamani, Joint Secretary, SNMV CAS, presence added immense pleasure to magnificence ceremony. Chief Guest, Prof. Adv. Rtn, AKS N. Sundaravadivelu, Advocate & Former Special Public Prosecutor, Past President Rotary Club, Coimbatore encouraged the students to understand the value of education. He spoke about Patriotism of wisdom in the gathering. Guest of Honour, Dr. Rupa Renganathan, Department of Radiology, KMCH, Coimbatore stated the students to study with passion to excel in their life and then she suggested the influence of social media in today’s scenario.
This was followed by the pledge taken by the students under the lead of FgOffr. T. Purushothaman, HOD- Department of Biotechnology. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal of the college, introduced all the Heads of the Departments to the Freshers. Dr. K. Muthukumar, MBA Director– SNMV IM proposed the Vote of Thanks. Dr. V. Padamanabhan, Dean Commerce grace the ceremony with his presences. Around 1400 students and their parents attended the programme.
SNMV CAS Commemorating“Jan Bhagidari”
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science celebrated 74thRepublic Day on 26thJanuary 2023commemorating the Idea of Participation of the common People.Mr. L. AntoVinesh, Alumni of SNMV CAS, Vice President, Institutional Sales IDFC Asset Management Company, Chennai has acted as a Chief Guest of the day and hoisted the National Flag with Honor. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal of the College delivered the welcome address, Shri Mahaveer Bothra, President has given the presidential address by honoring our nation. Shri BharathkumarJaghamani, Joint Seretary, and Founder President Shri KanaklalAbhaichand has felicitated the event. Chief Guest, Mr. L. AntoVinesh,hasillustrated the patriotic speech on Republic Day under the theme of “Jan Bhagidari” (participation of the common people)andstated that even after India won its independence, the struggle continued the country did not have any self-made constitution to rely on. By, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the Constitution was adopted on January 26, 1950 and ever since this day is celebrated as Republic Day and pointing out the predominant things, we Indians have to follow for the betterment of the nation. All the Faculty members and Students of the college participated in this programme.
75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day Celebrations
To mark the 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day Celebrations of India’s freedom, Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, celebrated the Independence Day with great pomp and reverence at the college premises. The National Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest, Col CST Swamy, Commanding Officer, 25 Naga Battalion NCC, along with other dignitaries. This was followed by a spectacular parade by the NCC Cadets of SNMV.
On this patriotic occasion, Dr. B. Subramani, Principal welcomed the gathering with a record of appreciation to all the staff for their contributions towards the institution. The Special Address was delivered by Shri Mahaveer Bothra, Vice President – CWA. He had highlighted the importance of Indian Culture and People. This was followed by the motivational words of Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary SNMV, who emphasized, “To succeed in a mission, every individual and organization should have a single-minded devotion”. The pledge was done by Shri Ashok Lunia, Treasurer – CWA along with the students and staffs. Shri Ratanchand Bothra, Join Treasurer — CWA offered his greetings on the occasion. Shri Nishanth Jain, Join Secretary –CWA graced the occasion with his presence. The Chief Guest, Col CST Swamy, Commanding Officer, 25 Naga Battalion NCC, glorified the Elixir of Energy of Independence of India. He shared a special note on his own experience about NCC and motivated students to carry their dreams and perseverance to achieve their success. Students from SNMV CAS had dedicated themselves in the pledge titled “Love your Nation” by signing in the 75 feet flex. As a Continuation to this, 75 trees were planted by students of SNMV CAS. Students form various department represented 75th Independence Day by decorating in their allocated department slot areas. The Cultural programmes that followed, rekindled the spirit of freedom among the audience. Certificates were distributed to NCC Cadets, who had achieved in the various camps. To mark the end of the celebration, vote of thanks is proposed by Dr.T. Muthukumar, Director – SNMV IM. The Management, Staff and Students took part in the occasion with joy and pride.
To commemorate 152nd Birth Anniversary of the Father of our Nation, Mahatama Gandhi India’s third National festival, Gandhi Jayanti, was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. The Principal, Dr.B.Subramani, welcomed the gathering and motivated the students to remember ‘Bapu’ and his teachings. He also indicated that Gandhiji led India to Independence by holding onto Non Violence and Truth and stressed that Gandhiji’s principles are very much needed for the present generation to lead a peaceful life. With the intention of preserving the Nation’s Arts and Musical Traditions, Bhajans were sung by the students of SNMV. There were also Competitions like Video Contest and Facial Painting conducted in online mode as a part of the celebrations. Staffs and Students showed active participation for the celebration.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science (SNMV), organized its Mega Intercollegiate Meet, ‘Regalia-2023’ on 2nd of March, 2023. Around 1640 students from 110 colleges from all over Tamilnadu participated and exposed their talents in various events like Reels, Rangoli, Short film, Facial Painting, Wealth from Waste, Groom / Bride Makeover, Band, Solo Dance, Adapt Tune, Group Dance, Solo Singing, and Fashion Pageant.
The Welcome Address was delivered by the Principal, Dr. B. Subramani. The celebration was further magnified by the presence of Shri B Mahaveer Bothra, the President. He presided over the function and delivered the Presidential Address, wherein he stated that the potential of the students to lead a successful life. He also highlighted the quote that “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out.”. He stressed, “This is a day of celebration which helps those who seeks for the opportunity to show the talents.
Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary SNMV, felicitated the gathering and he motivated the students to best in academic with the motivational lines, “Keep your face always toward the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you”.
The Chief Guests Mr. B. J. Bala, Actor and Standup Comedian and Mr. Vicky Siva, Actor and standup Comedian were made the stage stunned with their multitalent like Dance, Singing, Mimicry and Comedy. Followed by Mr. J. X. Sam Vishal, Indian Playback singer & Independent vocalist, interacted and entertained the students with his astonishing and Energetic Voice.
The special invitees Vice President, Shri Kamlesh C Bafna, Secretary- SNV School, Shri M Nishant Jain, Treasurer, Shri. Ashok Lunia, The Past Presidents Shri Kanaklal Abhaichand, Shri Mangilal Jain, Dr. Ashok G Bafna and GC Member Shri Ashok Kumar Acharya adorned the occasion with their presence. Dr. K. Muthukumar, Director, SNMV Institute of Management proposed the Vote of Thanks. JSS Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Coimbatore won the overall trophy and cash prize.
The Chief Guest was Adv, Rtn, AKS N. Sundaravadivelu, Advocate & Former Special Public Prosecutor, CBI Cases. He stated the quotation “Dream Dream Dream Dreams transfer into thoughts and thoughts result in action”. Followed this he spoke about the sacrifice of the freedom fighters and advised to students to use the freedom in a right way and he stressed the importance of education and the helping tendency of students. Dr. K. Muthukumar, Director, SNMV Institute of Management, welcomed the gathering followed by the College Annual Report 2023 presented by the Principal, Dr. B. Subramani.
The President,Shri. Mahaveer Bothra presided over the function and delivered the presidential address. He motivated the students to explore new things in life. He stated that celebration of students bring happiness and satisfaction.
The Secretary, Shri. Sunilkumar Nahata, felicitated the gathering. He congratulate the students for their efforts in studies and culturals.

Ashok Lunia, graced the occasion with their presence. The dignitaries confided the gathering with the College Magazine, ‘LAHAR-2023’. On this special occasion Shri V. Sivakumar, M / S Globuse Realtors Private Limited, Globus Towers and Mr. Vishwanathan, Founder of Sigaram Foundation were honoured for their social activities.
Around 3500students particpate and showed their talents in various events likeReels, Rangoli, Short film,Wealth from Waste, Groom / Bride Makeover, Band, Solo Dance, Adapt Tune, GroupDance, Dual dance, Solo Singing, and Cooking without fire.The gleeful gathering was concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of the various competitions.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science conducted its 30th Graduation Day on 8th April 2023. The Chief Guest, Dr. Mathew Cherian, Chief of Radiology Services, Kovai Medical Centre & Hospital, gave his splendid Graduation Day Address, congratulating all the fresh graduates for reaching a remarkable milestone in their academic journey. He also stated that “Never follow anyone else’s path, unless you’re in the woods and you’re last and you see a path and by all means you should follow that”. Shri Mahaveer Bothra, President-CWA & SNMV presided over the function. Shri Kamalesh C Bafna – Vice President, Shri Sunilkumar Nahata-Secretary felicitated the program. Shri Bharathkumar Jaghamani, Joint Secretary and Shri Ashok Kumar Acharya – GC member graced the occasion with their presence.
Dr. B. Subramani – Principal, SNMV headed the Academic Procession followed by all Heads of the Department. He presented a report on the outstanding features and attainments of the college. All the dignitaries made a remarkable appreciation note during the occasion as means of honoring the graduates. For a total of 1100 graduates, were awarded with for their distinctive performance in examinations. Rank Holders were exclusively called out and honored for their achievements. The occasion ended with a formal dissolution.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science with great enthu and inspiring zeal celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 22nd April, 2022. The Chief Guest, Dr. E. Saravanan, Principal, Srivinayaga Mission, College of physical Education, Salem, hoisted the national flag and Shri Ramesh C. Bafna, President-SNMV CAS hoisted the Sports flag. The commencement of sports meet was declared with Olympic torch lighting followed by Oath taking and a spectacular marching by the students of SNMV. Shri SunilKumar Nahata, Secretary-SNMV CAS, felicitated the event and honoured the occasion with his gracious presence. The Chief Guest stressed on the essence of sportsmanship spirit among today’s youth in order to reach heights amidst failures and defeats. He also quoted that Sports is a powerful tool that brings people together, creating a sense of community, besides being fun. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal-SNMV CAS of the college, delivered the welcome address. Mr. G. Sadeesh Kumar, Physical Director-SNMV CAS presented the Annual Report in connection with all the activities of Physical Education Department of the College. Various Competitions like 100 metre running race, Throw Ball, Volley Ball etc. for all the girls and boys were conducted individually. Games like Shotput, Shuttle Cock and Cricket were conducted also for all faculty members of the College. Red House team won the overall championship and Yellow House team secured the runner position. All the winners were appreciated and honored with prizes, given away by the dignitaries. The event came out to be a grand success by the active participation extended by the students and staffs of the College.
Indelible Traditional Moments on SNMV Campus!
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science celebrated Samacheer Pongal on 13th January 2023 at 9.30 am in the college premises.The college has celebrated the function to carry the tradition and culture of Pongal Festival to the young minds. Shri B Mahaveer Bothra, President, SNMV, presided over the function. Shri Sunil Kumar Nahata, Secretary, SNMV, Shri Ratanchand BothraJoint Secretary – CWA, SNV GlobalSchool, Shri Ashok Lunia, Treasurer,honoured the celebration with their presence and conveyed Pongal wishes to all. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal, delivered the speech about Traditional Pongal Celebration.Management members visited all the department huts and observed all the traditional collections. They congratulated the organizing team for arranging the programme in a traditional way.The Cultural programmes like the Dance, Rekla, Kummiyattam, Silambattam, Uriyadithal, Parai Isai, Kabadi and Kayiru iluthal added more essence to the programme. Around 1500 students and staffs were participated in the function.
