Incandescent Moment at SNMV!
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science conducted the Induction ceremony,‘Swajith 2022’ to welcome the first year UG on 11th August 2022. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal welcomed the students and parents . Shri Mahaveer Bothra, Vice President, CWA & SNMV, presided over the function and delivered the Presidential Address. He encouraged all the young minds to dedicate oneself completely to the journey of success. He highlighted the facilities and amenities provided by the college, 100% Scholarship given for outstanding students along with free hostel facilities and exclusion of uniform fee, sports Scholarship, and IAS Academy. Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary, SNMV, felicitated the gathering and pointed out that the college will provide all the opportunities according to the students’ interest and passion. Shri Ashok Lunia, Treasurer, CWA, SNMV CAS graced the occasion with their presence.The Chief Guest, Prof. T.Santhamani, Professor in Tamil, writer, Tamil Orator , Motivational speaker and Chairs in Pattimandram emphasized the importance of education and its impact on student’s life. She quoted ‘Rise Up, Start Fresh, See the Bright Opportunity in Each New Day’ in a significant manner also, emphasized the students, “Arise, Awake and stop not till the goal is reached”. She claimed that no other possession compares to that of one’s Education. She also said that it is a privilege for any student to study in a reputed institution with resourceful teachers and hence congratulated all the first-year students of SNMV for being blissfully fortunate in that aspect. Three important aspects according to her in one’s life were Birth, Classroom and Death. She put forth an incident from the life of Michelangelo and mentioned the importance of teachers as they have the power of shaping the students as a praising individual in the society. On sharing the successful life experiences of A.R.Rahman, P.T.Usha, and few commoners, she encouraged students to develop positive mindset and throw out all the negativities out from their mind, to achieve success in their life.
Followed by her Speech, first year students who joined in SNMV CAS with merits as well as the sports persons who represents state level is awarded with a memento by the chief Guest and they were provided 100% scholarship by SNMV CAS. This was followed by the pledge taken by the students under the lead of Fg Offr. T. Purushothaman, HOD- Department of Biotechnology. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal of the college, then introduced all the Heads of the Departments cordially to the new comers. Dr. K. Muthukumar, MBA Director – SNMV IM proposed the Vote of Thanks. Around 1300 students and their parents attended the programme.
75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day Celebrations
To mark the 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day Celebrations of India’s freedom, Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, celebrated the Independence Day with great pomp and reverence at the college premises. The National Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest, Col CST Swamy, Commanding Officer, 25 Naga Battalion NCC, along with other dignitaries. This was followed by a spectacular parade by the NCC Cadets of SNMV.
On this patriotic occasion, Dr. B. Subramani, Principal welcomed the gathering with a record of appreciation to all the staff for their contributions towards the institution. The Special Address was delivered by Shri Mahaveer Bothra, Vice President – CWA. He had highlighted the importance of Indian Culture and People. This was followed by the motivational words of Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary SNMV, who emphasized, “To succeed in a mission, every individual and organization should have a single-minded devotion”. The pledge was done by Shri Ashok Lunia, Treasurer – CWA along with the students and staffs. Shri Ratanchand Bothra, Join Treasurer — CWA offered his greetings on the occasion. Shri Nishanth Jain, Join Secretary –CWA graced the occasion with his presence. The Chief Guest, Col CST Swamy, Commanding Officer, 25 Naga Battalion NCC, glorified the Elixir of Energy of Independence of India. He shared a special note on his own experience about NCC and motivated students to carry their dreams and perseverance to achieve their success. Students from SNMV CAS had dedicated themselves in the pledge titled “Love your Nation” by signing in the 75 feet flex. As a Continuation to this, 75 trees were planted by students of SNMV CAS. Students form various department represented 75th Independence Day by decorating in their allocated department slot areas. The Cultural programmes that followed, rekindled the spirit of freedom among the audience. Certificates were distributed to NCC Cadets, who had achieved in the various camps. To mark the end of the celebration, vote of thanks is proposed by Dr.T. Muthukumar, Director – SNMV IM. The Management, Staff and Students took part in the occasion with joy and pride.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science conducted its 28th Graduation Day on 12th May 2022. The Chief Guest, Dr. Kalidindi N. Satyanarayana, Director, Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh gave his splendid Graduation Day Address, congratulating all the fresh graduates for reaching a remarkable milestone in their academic journey. He also stated that getting graduated is not the destination point instead it is just the precursor of a full-fledged success route. He also stressed on the fact that besides education, one has to equip himself with various tools like Working in teams, Communicating with clarity and Staying conscious of Global development. Dr. Ramesh C Bafna President-CWA & SNMV presided over the function. Shri Mahaveer Bothra-Vice President; Shri Sunilkumar Nahata-Secretary and Shri Ashok Lunia-Treasurer graced the occasion with their presence.
Dr. B. Subramani – Principal, SNMV headed the Academic Procession followed by all the Heads of the Department. He presented a report on the outstanding features and attainments of the college. All the dignitaries made a remarkable appreciation note during the occasion as a means of honoring all the graduates. For a total of 679 graduates, Degrees were granted upon, among which three graduates were awarded with gold medals for their distinctive performance in examinations. 17 Rank Holders were exclusively called out and honored for their achievements. The occasion ended with a formal dissolution by Dr. Ramesh C Bafna President-CWA & SNMV.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science with great enthu and inspiring zeal celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 22nd April, 2022. The Chief Guest, Dr. E. Saravanan, Principal, Srivinayaga Mission, College of physical Education, Salem, hoisted the national flag and Shri Ramesh C. Bafna, President-SNMV CAS hoisted the Sports flag. The commencement of sports meet was declared with Olympic torch lighting followed by Oath taking and a spectacular marching by the students of SNMV. Shri SunilKumar Nahata, Secretary-SNMV CAS, felicitated the event and honoured the occasion with his gracious presence. The Chief Guest stressed on the essence of sportsmanship spirit among today’s youth in order to reach heights amidst failures and defeats. He also quoted that Sports is a powerful tool that brings people together, creating a sense of community, besides being fun. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal-SNMV CAS of the college, delivered the welcome address. Mr. G. Sadeesh Kumar, Physical Director-SNMV CAS presented the Annual Report in connection with all the activities of Physical Education Department of the College. Various Competitions like 100 metre running race, Throw Ball, Volley Ball etc. for all the girls and boys were conducted individually. Games like Shotput, Shuttle Cock and Cricket were conducted also for all faculty members of the College. Red House team won the overall championship and Yellow House team secured the runner position. All the winners were appreciated and honored with prizes, given away by the dignitaries. The event came out to be a grand success by the active participation extended by the students and staffs of the College.
TThe College celebrated Samacheer Pongal on 13 th January 2021. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal delivered the Welcome Address. Dr. Ramesh C Bafna, President, CWA and SNMV, presided over the function. He reminded the staff and students that food is valuable and that it should not be wasted. Food is generated with the hard works of farmers. Shri Mahaveer Bothra, Vice President, CWA & SNMV, conveyed his hearty greetings for Pongal celebrations to all. Shri Sunil Kumar Nahata, Secretary, SNMV, Shri Rathan Chand Bothra, Joint Treasurer, conveyed best wishes to all. The Cultural programmes like the dance and group debate forum by the staff and students added flavour to the programme. Around 200 staff members participated in the function.
