The department of Chemistry was established in the year 2016. It provides opportunity for undergraduate students to obtain fundamental knowledge of all fields in Chemistry. As an enabling science, chemistry is at the focal point of every important modern societal challenge. The untiring efforts of all the faculty members have paved ways for the students to achieve significant growth. The department consists of highly experienced teaching fraternity who strive to provide quality education to students.
Bharathiar University has framed the syllabus for the program ensuring that the students are provided with a wide foundation in Chemistry. The program further enlightens the students on the need to acquire scientific reasoning and analytical problem solving skills with molecular perspectives. They are also equipped with the prerequisite caliber to shine in chemical industries and medical laboratories. Experimental techniques using modern instrumentation guides them to attempt at unveiling new avenues for research.

On completion of B.Sc. Chemistry one can take up internships to prepare for industry level entries. Other job opportunities are as follows:
Certificate course approved by Bharathiar University. It contains two papers. They are Fundamentals of Nano science and Introductory Nano biotechnology and Nano medicine.
Nano medicine is at the forefront of modern healthcare. Nano particles offer a new platform for drug delivery that can extend the “patent life” of drugs, but also greatly increase the targeting and effectiveness of therapy.
