B. A. English Literature - Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya

Duty, Devotion and Discipline are the three strings that weave the motto of the department which was incepted in the year 1989. The Department provides students with an excellent education that strikes an ideal balance between creativity and critical inquiry. At present, a group of sixteen qualified and dedicated members of staff are serving the department which is headed by Dr. P. Manjula Suresh. The department includes advanced classes in reading, writing, editing and communications. The main objective of the department is to impart training in developing intellectual personal and professional abilities through effective communicative skills and to ensure high standard of behavioral attitude among the students to shape socially responsible citizens. The department enlightens the students and provides ample opportunities to showcase their abilities.

To impart not only subject knowledge and skills, but also to mould the students with good conduct and character committed to societal needs and national development.

To inculcate among the students a global vision with skills of international competency.
