Incandescent Induction Ceremony at SNMV CAS!
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science conducted the Induction Ceremony, Swajith 2025, to Welcome the first-year UG students on 2nd July 2025. Dr. B. Subramani, Principal, SNMV CAS, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the facilities and achievements of the college, such as producing high university ranks under Bharathiar University, being ranked among the top 10 colleges in Tamil Nadu, and providing platforms like NSS, NCC, IAS Academy, hostel facilities, and various club activities. A notable achievement of the college is the provision of 36 free seat allotments to students who have lost their parents.
Shri Mahaveer Bothra, President, CWA & SNMV, presided over the function and encouraged the young students to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their journey towards success.
Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary, SNMV, felicitated the gathering and emphasized that the college would provide excellent opportunities tailored to each student’s interests and passions, thereby empowering them. The Chief Guest, Rtn. Dr. K.A. Kuriachan, District Governor (2001–2002), Rotary International District 3200, and International Corporate Trainer, stressed the importance of education, individual responsibility, and their impact on the nation’s growth. He inspired the students with the quote: “Love yourself, build yourself, start fresh, and see the bright opportunity in each new day.”
Shri Gopal Bhuradia, Secretary – CWA, SNV & SNV Global School, and Shri S.R. Bafana, Joint Secretary – CWA, SNV & SNV Global School, felicitated the gathering. Shri Bharathkumar Jagamani, Joint Secretary, SNMV CAS, and Shri Sheethal Mehta, GC Member, also graced the occasion.
A special learning session was conducted by Mr. M. Prem Chand Jamad, General Manager, Veranda Learning Solutions Ltd. Following this, the students took a pledge led by Dr. S. Jothiramalingam, Admission Team, SNMV. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. K. Muthukumar, Director, SNMV IM. Around 2,500 students and their parents participated in the programme.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great pride and patriotic fervour on 26th January 2026. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Mr. Kishore Chandran, Founder and President of the Dr. Kalam Foundation, and a proud SNMV alumnus. The ceremony was followed by a spirited parade and a cultural salute presented by the students.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. B. Subramani, Principal, SNMV CAS, highlighting the significance of Republic Day. The Presidential Address was given by Shri B. Mahaveer Bothra, President, SNMV CAS and CWA, emphasizing the values of democracy, unity, and national integrity. Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary, SNMV CAS, felicitated the ceremony. Shri Kamlesh C. Bafna, Vice President, CWA, and Shri Sheethal Mehta, GC Member, graced the occasion and extended their greetings.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Kishore Chandran, delivered an inspiring Republic Day address, emphasizing the role of educational institutions in nurturing responsible citizens of the nation. He also shared his inspiring experiences with Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, whose leadership, simplicity, and spirit of service greatly influenced his life.
As part of the celebrations, winners of various competitions such as elocution, essay writing, verse writing, facial painting, and group dance were honoured with prizes and certificates by the dignitaries. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. K. Muthukumar, Director, MBA, SNMV IM, who expressed his gratitude to the management, Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty members, and students for making the event a grand success.
The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, making the Republic Day celebration truly memorable. The programme was organized by Mr. B. Sudhagaran, Head (i/c), Department of English.
Patriotic Fervour at its Best
To mark the 79th Independence Day of India, Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science celebrated the occasion on 15th August 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The National Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest, Captain K.K. Mathews (Retd), along with other dignitaries. This was followed by a spectacular parade by the NCC Cadets of SNMV and a special pledge administered by the NSS Unit of SNMV.
On this proud occasion, Dr. B. Subramani, Principal of the College, Welcomed the gathering and paid tribute to the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Shri Mahaveer Bothra, President – CWA, SNMV, presided over the event and highlighted the importance of independence, India’s culture, and its people. Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary – CWA, SNMV, spoke about the value of nationhood and the selfless dedication of those who serve the country. Shri Bharathkumar Jagamani, Joint Secretary, SNMV CAS, felicitated the gathering and emphasized that every Indian must remember and honor our dedicated warriors as it is our foremost duty.
The Chief Guest, Captain K.K. Mathews (Retd), lauded the spirit of independent India. He shared an inspiring note on the dedication and sacrifices of the freedom fighters with deep gratitude, and urged everyone to carry forward the spirit of patriotism in every walk of life. The event was graced by the presence of Shri Sheethal Mehta, GC Member – CWA, and Shri Abhay Jain, GC Member – CWA.
A vibrant Cultural Programme by the students rekindled the spirit of freedom among the audience. The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. K. Muthukumar, Director – SNMV IM. The Management, Staff, and Students participated in the occasion with joy and pride, making it a memorable celebration of freedom.
To commemorate the 153rd Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, India’s third national festival, Gandhi Jayanti, was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore.
The Principal, Dr. B. Subramani, Welcomed the gathering and motivated the students to remember Bapu and his teachings. He emphasized that Gandhiji led India to independence by upholding the principles of Non-violence and Truth, and stressed that these values are essential for the present generation to lead a peaceful and meaningful life.
With the intention of preserving the nation’s rich artistic and musical traditions, students of Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science rendered soulful bhajans. Both staff and students actively participated in the celebration, making it a memorable and inspiring occasion.
The campus of Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, witnessed vibrant celebrations as it hosted its grand intercollegiate cultural fest, Regalia 2026 , on 26th February 2026 (Thursday). As many as 1,661 students from around 105 colleges across Tamil Nadu enthusiastically participated in the mega event.
In a significant initiative to recognize dedicated service in the field of education, SNMV conferred the SNMV Education Excellence Awards 2026. The recognition was proudly extended to leaders from government and matriculation schools, honoring their remarkable contributions to holistic education and academic excellence.
The programme commenced with a traditional invocation, followed by the welcome address delivered by the Principal, Dr. B. Subramani. The celebration was further enriched by the presence of Shri B. Mahaveer Bothra, President, who highlighted the importance of co-curricular activities in nurturing leadership and teamwork among students. He stated, “The greatest joys of life are happy memories. Your job is to create as many of them as possible.”
Shri Sunilkumar Nahata, Secretary, felicitated the gathering and encouraged students to excel in both academics and extracurricular activities. The special invitees — Shri Bharathkumar Jaghamani, Joint Secretary; Shri Ashok Lunia; Shri Sheethal Mehta; and Shri Abhay Jain, Governing Council Members — adorned the occasion with their presence.
Adding splendour to the celebration, the Chief Guest, renowned Indian playback singer and Super Singer fame Mr. Ajay Krishna, enthralled the audience with a captivating musical performance that received a thunderous applause. The fest highlighted the creativity and enthusiasm of students from various institutions.
Shri Krishna Adithiya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, won the overall trophy along with the cash prize.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science came alive with vibrant celebrations as it hosted its grand College Day celebration, Quake Arena, on 27th February 2026. On this remarkable occasion, the institution proudly conferred the SNMV Education Excellence Awards 2026, extending recognition not only to its achievers but also to leaders from Government and Matriculation schools, applauding their dedicated efforts in elevating educational standards and nurturing young minds.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Management members, setting a tone of tradition and triumph. This was followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Dr. K. Muthukumar, Director, SNMV CAS. The Principal, Dr. B. Subramani, presented the Annual Report, highlighting the institution’s academic excellence and key milestones achieved over the year.
In his Presidential Address, Shri Mahaveer Bothra, President, praised the institution for fostering excellence in arts, culture, and sports. The Secretary, Shri Sunil Kumar Nahata, emphasized the importance of vision, excellence, and integrity. The occasion was further graced by the presence of Vice President Shri Kamelesh G. Bafna, Joint Secretary Mr. Bharathkumar Jaghamani, CWA Member Shri Ashok Lunia, and GC Member Shri Rathanchand Bothra. The dignitaries unveiled the college magazine, “LAHAR – 2026,” adding significance to the celebration.

Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science (SNMV CAS) successfully hosted its 33rd Graduation Day on the college campus at Malumachampatti, Coimbatore, celebrating the academic accomplishments of the graduating batch of 2021–2024. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. D. Ramamurthy, Chairman of The Eye Foundation, Coimbatore, and a globally renowned Ophthalmologist. He delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking address, motivating the graduates to pursue excellence and integrity in their professional journeys. The college’s top achievers, including 39 University Rank Holders, were honored by the Chief Guest and the college management for their outstanding academic performance.
Shri Mahaveer Bothra, President, Coimbatore Welfare Association (CWA) & SNMV, presided over the function and extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates. A total of 950 degrees were conferred upon students from various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, marking the 33rd Graduation Day as a momentous and successful event.
ANNUAL SPORTS EXTRAVAGANZA
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm and inspiring zeal on 13th March 2026. The Chief Guest, M. M. Selvaraghavan, hoisted the National Flag and lit the Olympic Torch, marking the formal inauguration of the sports meet.
The Annual Sports Meet was officially declared open by Bharathkumar Jagamani, Joint Secretary, SNMV CAS. This was followed by the oath-taking ceremony and a spectacular march past by the students of SNMV. Delivering the Presidential Address, Shri Bharathkumar Jagamani appreciated the efforts of the students and expressed confidence that SNMV students would excel and represent the institution at the national level in sports.
The Chief Guest emphasized the importance of sportsmanship among today’s youth and encouraged students to face failures and challenges with determination in order to achieve greater heights.
The programme began with the Welcome Address delivered by K. Muthukumar, Director, SNMV IM. G. Sadeesh Kumar, Physical Director of SNMV CAS, presented the Annual Sports Report 2025–2026, highlighting the achievements and activities of the Department of Physical Education.
Winners of various competitions such as Table Tennis, Running Race, Carrom, and Chess were honoured with prizes and certificates by the dignitaries. The event turned out to be a grand success with enthusiastic participation from the students of the college. The Overall Rolling Trophy was proudly bagged by the Red House. The celebration concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by S. Jothiramalingam, Head – Corporate Relations, SNMV IM.
Wrapped in Festive Warmth – Pongal Vibes in the Air
Samacheer Pongal was celebrated with resplendent fervor and cultural pride at Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science on 13th January 2026. The celebrations commenced at 9:00 a.m. in the Multipurpose Auditorium, where an exquisite and colorful display of rangoli captivated the gathering, setting an auspicious tone for the occasion.
The highlight of the celebration was the mesmerizing Vallikummi performance by staff members and students, in which the dancers showcased graceful movements in perfect synchrony with the rhythmic beats of the traditional Kummiadi song. Authentic cultural elements such as sugarcane stalks and Pongal prepared in artistically adorned earthen pots radiated the true spirit of the harvest festival.
The enthusiastic participation of students in events such as Rekla, Kummiyattam, Silambattam, Uriyadithal, Kabaddi, Parai Isai, and Kayiru Iluthal further enriched the celebration. Brightly painted Rekla carts adorned with intricate motifs and floral garlands, along with traditional huts creatively constructed by students using culturally symbolic props, added visual splendor and authenticity to the event.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the Management Members, namely Shri Mahaveer Bothra, President, SNMV; Shri Bharathkumar Jaghamani, Joint Secretary; and Shri Gopal Bhuradia, Secretary, CWA, SNV School. The honored presence of Dr. B. Subramani, Principal, and Dr. K. Muthukumar, Director, SNMV IM, further enhanced the stature and grandeur of the celebration.
With the enthusiastic participation of approximately 3,500 students and staff, the event stood as a testament to the vibrant cultural ethos of the institution. Winners of various competitions were felicitated with prizes in recognition of their talents and spirited participation. The festivities concluded with the distribution of sweet Pongal to all, leaving behind cherished memories of togetherness and cultural pride.
Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science – Women Empowerment Cell proudly celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 under the theme “Give to Gain” on 13th March 2026.
The Chief Guest of the day, Latha Arjunan, delivered an inspiring address. She quoted, “If there is a woman, then there is magic around us,” and highlighted the vital role of women and their excellence in every sphere of life. The programme began with the Welcome Address delivered by Chinna Sahayarani. The event was successfully convened by M. Premalatha. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by P. Jayapradha.
Around 300 girl students and all the female faculty members actively participated in the programme, making the celebration meaningful and memorable.
